What’s The Difference Between “NGC” And “PCGS”?

NGC stands for the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation and PCGS stands for the Professional Coin Grading Service. These two companies are third-party grading services that certify coins and are the most respected, well-known independent coin graders in the United States. Coins listed with a PCGS MS70 or NGC MS70 label are Mint State Perfect coins. The only difference is the grading service that issued that grade.
